The Finest China in the Cabinet - The Dish.

Three quick things this morning.

1) I was reading this this morning and I had to wonder, what exactly does George Bush think the death penalty is going to do to deter suicide bombers?

2) I was also reading the newspaper version of this. In the print version, there is this mysterious gap between the point about the Allende-Pinochet coup in Chile thirty years ago and the mention of the Scots Parliament (they completely skipped the Markov incident). It looked like someone deleted a sentence or two just as the paper went to press. Perhaps something along the lines of "The coup was strongly supported by then-Secretary of State Henry Kissinger and backed by the CIA. Pinochet went on to kill tens of thousands of Chilean dissidents."

3) The battle with Cat Scratch Fever goes on. Yesterday the boss whapped me on the nose with a rolled up newspaper for sharpening my claws on the furniture. The missus thinks I'm crazy. Yeah! Crazy like a Puma!
